If you purchased pay update(s) and/or added free updates to the installation queue, please click on the My Updates button in the menu bar on the left hand side. This is the last step to update your Motonav device.

The My Updates screen shows you the list of:

• purchased items (updates or extras),
• free updates and extras added to the installation queue from the Get Maps & More screen,
• and special free updates (which are normally pay updates but your manufacturer or the Site operator provides them to you free of charge).

Installable contents are always displayed at the top of the list. You can install them all at once by clicking the Installation Wizard button at the top of the page or by clicking the Install button above the content list.

Using the installation wizard

After clicking on the Installation Wizard or the Install button, you will be prompted to make a backup. We strongly recommend to proceed with a backup before downloading and installing updates. You may decide to skip backup at your own risk.

Depending on your PC's USB port and device capabilities (support for USB 1.1 or USB 2.0) the time needed to make a backup may vary. Please wait until the backup process is completed.

After the backup is made, the installation wizard will continue and will ask you to confirm if you would like to install all listed updates. You can remove any item by unchecking it, and if an update is made up of several content items, you can also select or deselect each item individually. Press the Install button on the bottom left side of the window to continue.

The Install button will only be enabled when there is enough free space on your Motonav device to install all selected items.

A warning will appear to inform you that the battery should be at full capacity if possible to prevent the device switching off during the installation process, which can cause file corruption and malfunctioning of the device.

After you accept the warning, MOTOEXTRAS TOOLBOX will start downloading the necessary files one by one via the Internet to your PC and copy them to your Motonav device.

When the installation of all items is finished, a confirmation message appears on the screen.

Upgrading and modifying the installed content items

If you already installed some content items, the installed items will remain listed on the My Updates screen together with any potential upgrades that are available for them.

If you can see some items under the header 'Upgrade available', you can use the Upgrade button to download and install all these upgrades. The process is very similar to that of the installation wizard.

If you have already installed some items, you will see the header 'My installed contents' in the table, with a Re-install button next to it. You can use this button to re-install some contents or uninstall them if you no longer need them. The process is very similar to that of the installation wizard.

In case of uninstalling items, it is strongly recommended to accept the option of making a backup so that you will be able to retrieve the uninstalled contents later.
